Rawley Hire Purchases New Yard to Expand Depot

Rawley Hire is excited to announce the acquisition of new yard space opposite their existing depot on Harvey Road in Basildon. The plot belonged to an old scaffolding yard and measures 1 acre, bringing the total depot size to 1.75 acres. Following the recent purchase and integration of Concept Cabins into Rawley Hire, the new space is planned to hold a 36m x 20m workshop to support this expansion.

Upon buying the land, the old buildings were demolished and planning has been requested for concreting to take place by the end of the year. The Rawley Hire team are aiming for the new workshop space to be running by Spring 2027.

Chris Stacey, Hire Operations Manager, commented “The new workshop will allow bigger cabins and larger capacity. As the business grows so will staffing requirements, but to be able to grow the business we need the tools to do this. This new site will assist our future growth for years to come.”
