Fire-Rated Cabins for Hire - Rawley Hire

Fire-rated cabins

Rawley Hire supplies fire-rated cabins for construction, infrastructure and temporary project sites across London and the South East.

Our fire-rated cabins are designed for sites where temporary accommodation needs to be positioned close to an existing building, structure or works area. Under JCoP 10.2, where a clear 6 metre fire break cannot be achieved, temporary site accommodation should be fire-rated in accordance with Section 13.3 of the code. For large timber-framed or higher-risk structures, this recommended fire break can increase to 20 metres.

Available in a range of sizes, fire-rated cabins can be configured as offices, canteens or drying rooms. Units can also be double stacked on site, with staircases and landings available where required.

Fire-rated cabins available to hire

Our fire-rated cabins are static units designed for sites where fire safety, limited space or proximity to other structures needs to be considered as part of the site setup.

They can be used as:

  • Site offices
  • Canteens
  • Drying rooms
  • Changing rooms
  • Multi-unit site accommodation setups

Where space is restricted, units can be double stacked to increase accommodation capacity without taking up additional ground space.

Key features

Practical site accommodation built to meet fire safety requirements.

Fire-rated for restricted site layouts

Designed for sites where a clear fire break cannot be achieved, helping support JCoP 10.2 site accommodation requirements.

Offices, canteens and drying rooms

Configure units as office space, canteen facilities, changing rooms or drying rooms depending on your site needs.

Stackable with staircases available

Units can be double stacked to help make the most of limited site space, with staircases and landings available where required.

Things to consider before you hire

If your temporary site accommodation will be positioned within 6 metres of an existing building, structure, scaffold or works area, you may need fire-rated cabins to meet JCoP requirements. For large timber-framed or higher-risk structures, the required separation distance can be greater, so it is important to check your site layout before ordering.

These cabins can be configured as offices, canteens, changing rooms or drying rooms. Knowing how the space will be used helps us recommend the most suitable size and setup.

Where ground space is tight, the cabins can be double stacked with staircases and landings available. This can help you increase site accommodation capacity without increasing the footprint.

Fire-rated cabins require a 240v mains power connection or a suitable generator supply for lighting, heating and power points. If mains power is not available, this should be included in your site planning.

JCoP guidance treats some projects differently, including large timber-framed structures where a greater fire break may be required. If this applies to your site, speak to our team before finalising your accommodation layout.

Speak to Rawley Hire and we’ll help you understand whether fire-rated cabins are suitable for your project. Our team can advise on unit options, site layout considerations, availability and hire requirements.
