Construction Equipment Transportation
We have been transporting construction equipment to and from sites around London and the South East since 1961 and hold an unblemished Operator’s Licence. We also conform to all VOSA requirements and government legislation.
We want to work with you to ensure that the transportation of your site accommodation, and toilets, to and from site is carried out as smoothly as possible. The following provides you with details of our transportation processes and information we require from you.
All the information below relates to the delivery and collection with our lorry loader vehicles.
We also use other means of transport including:
- 4×4 vehicles for towing our mobile welfare units, site accommodation and mobile event toilets
- 3.5 tonne vehicles with tail lift for transporting single toilets and other products
- 7.5 tonne toilet servicing vehicles with vacuum tanks
- Servicing vans
Transporting Safely…
The basis on which the delivery/collection is undertaken is that of a “Hired and Managed” Lift under the MPBA Best Practice Lifting Guide. The transport charge quoted is based on a lorry mounted crane, off-loading the unit parallel to the vehicle. Any placing at a greater distance will require a larger lorry mounted crane (price on application). We allow 60 minutes per unit for off-loading on site. Once your order is confirmed the appropriate size/type of vehicle will be allocated based on the location of your site and any site restrictions advised by you. Any cancellation notified less than 1 working day/24hours prior to delivery or collection could result in a full aborted charge being applied. When our driver is on their way, the site contact is phoned to confirm arrival time. Every driver working for, or on behalf of, Rawley Plant Ltd will have full PPE and the following documentation with them:
- Driver licence
- CPCS/ Allmi card
- Crane test certificates
- Lifting accessory test certificates with safe working loads
- Generic risk assessment
- Method statement (if requested)
- Waste carriers licence
Once our driver has followed site instruction to off load and has ensured the unit is leveled, they will show your site representative around the unit and explain how to operate it. They will then de-rig and leave site.
