HVO Powere Welfare Units

We’re really excited to announce that our entire fleet of welfare units is now being powered by vegetable-derived HVO Biofuel (Hydro-treated Vegetable Oil) meaning up to a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions.

  • HVO is made from renewable resources helping you to minimise dependence on fossil fuels
  • HVO is a “drop-in” replacement and allows for blending with diesel if you cannot obtain HVO on site
  • Reduces particulate matter by up to 42%
  • Reduces your carbon footprint on-site by up to 90%
  • Reduces NOx by up to 25%
  • Hiring welfare units that run on HVO could help your Considerate Constructor score and keep your client happy

In 2020 we used 15,500-litres of gas oil.  In 2021 our entire fleet of 125+ generator-powered welfare units will be run on HVO which equates to a reduction of 40-tonnes of CO2 emitted into the environment.

This is a small but important step on our continuous commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, do less harm to the planet and reduce our impact on the environment and part of our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
